They sure are setting off a lot of fireworks for a wake.

What was supposed to be an emotional letdown for a vanquished American Solheim Cup team is instead turning into a reunion on the first two pages of the CN Canadian Women’s Open leaderboard.

Eight of the top 18 players in the field are American Solheim Cup members — with Cristie Kerr, Paula Creamer, Angela Stanford, Lexi Thompson, Gerina Piller, Brittany Lincicome, Brittany Lang and Jessica Korda leading the US charge.

Go figure.

“I think we’re all just really pumped up after last week,” said Creamer, who’s two shots off the lead after rounds of 66 and 68. “You have to keep moving forward. There is time to look back at stuff and figure out what happened but you can’t be too upset about it.,”
