WATERLOO, ONT. - Most rankings lists on the LPGA Tour feature Yani Tseng at No. 1.

But Stacy Lewis, with her solid play of late, is ahead of No. 1-ranked Tseng in Rolex Player of the Year points.

"It's pretty cool," Lewis, world No. 2, said Wednesday. "It's crazy to think that just a couple of months ago I was pretty far behind Yani."

Lewis has been on fire during her past four events, winning twice -- the Shoprite LPGA Classic and the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic -- before finishing in a four-way tie for second at the LPGA Championship.

"I played some really good golf the last couple of weeks," Lewis said. "It has been fun but I have to keep doing it. I want to be on the top of that list in November so I have to go and keep playing good golf."

The 27-year-old Texan said the key to her game has been putting, and that will come in handy at Grey Silo in Waterloo, where the fairways are wide and the greens are large.

"Even when I haven't hit it that well, it has been my putting that keeps it going," Lewis said.

The two wins, bringing her career total up to three, haven't hurt, either.

"I think more than anything it's confidence," she said. "When I won in Mobile it's knowing you can get up on that tee and you can win, you're not just playing to make a cut ...

"You're there to win the golf tournament. It's just a completely different mind-set knowing that you can do that."
