ORLANDO, Fla. -- Maria Hjorth managed an even-par 72 in difficult windy conditions Sunday to come from behind and win the season- ending LPGA Tour Championship.

Hjorth finished at five-under 283 at Grand Cypress Golf Club and won by a stroke over third-round leader Amy Yang.

The overnight leader posted a quadruple-bogey eight on the par-four third hole, but rebounded to tie things with Hjorth with five holes to play. Yang couldn't hang with Hjorth after the eventual winner birdied the 15th, but Yang finished even-par to shoot a two-over 74.

Cristie Kerr carded a one-over 73 and tied for third place with In-Kyung Kim, who shot a very respectable two-under 70 on Sunday. The pair finished at two- under 286.

Hjorth may have raised the trophy, but Na Yeon Choi was another big winner on Sunday.

After Jiyai Shin missed the second cut after the third round, Choi was guaranteed the money title.

Choi had a seven-stroke cushion to play with over Kerr for the Vare Trophy for low scoring average. Choi's two-under 70 tied her for fifth with Laura Diaz at minus-one, so Choi collected that coveted prize.

Once Kerr and Choi both failed to win, Yani Tseng won the mathematically- generated Player of the Year award. Tseng titled three times in 2010, including two majors, and shot a one-under 71 on Sunday.

Yes, she finished in 21st at plus-five, but it was enough for the Player of the Year title.
