The number of teenage girls who are arriving on the LPGA scene with elite talent and mental toughness to match is growing.
A few weeks past her 21st birthday, Paula Creamer already has over $3 million in earnings.
"A lot of it is my parents, they've taught me a lot of things, like to control your emotions," she said.
"I think that has a lot to do with it. But I put the most pressure on myself. I expect so many things. I think it's just striving for that perfection, striving to be good."
Either you have that drive or you don't. There's no forcing it on a teen girl who doesn't have the stomach for it.
"I think it's just that inner drive," said Creamer. "I want to be the best. I want to work hard at the game, help influence it for other girls. I don't like to lose. I want to be the best at what I do.
"I think that has a lot to do with it - fighting, and never giving up."
