Tseng repeats as champ in Australia

Melbourne, Australia - Yani Tseng carded a two-under 71 Sunday to repeat as champion at the Women's Australian Open.

Tseng completed the event at Commonwealth Golf Club at 16-under-par 276. This was the first event on the 2011 schedule for the Ladies European Tour.

Melissa Reid posted a five-under 68 to share second place at minus-nine. She was joined there by 2009 U.S. Open champion Eun Hee Ji (74) and women's world No. 1 Jiyai Shin (75).

American Jennifer Song took fifth at seven-under-par 285 after a final-round, one-under 71.

Tseng, who won the Kraft Nabisco Championship and Women's British Open last year, had a steady final round with two birdies and 16 pars. After a pair of pars, she birdied the par-four third for the third straight day.

The world No. 5 ran off 10 consecutive pars from the fourth. Tseng birdied the 14th to get to minus-16. She parred the last four holes to easily repeat as champion.

Germany's Sandra Gal closed with an even-par 73 to take sixth at minus-six. Karrie Webb, a four-time winner of this event, carded a three-under 70 to finish tied for seventh at five-under-par 287. She was joined there by Cindy LaCrosse (74) and Katherine Hull (76).

Christina Kim (75) and Laura Davies (74) were among seven players tied for 15th at minus-two.
