MALELANE, South Africa (AP) -- England's Nick Cheetham had the only bogey-free round Saturday, shooting a 3-under-par 69 that gave him a one-stroke lead after three rounds of the Dunhill Championship.
He was at 8-under 208 in the European tour event. South Africa's David Frost (69) was at 209, with South Africa's Charl Swartzel (70) at 210 and England's Oliver Whitely (72) at 211.
Ernie Els is still in contention after a 75 in the second round. The South African responded with a 70 Saturday that left grouped with three others at 212 entering the final round.
"I'm hitting the driver unbelievably well and gave myself more chances, but became progressively more irritated that I couldn't convert them," he said.
Second-round leader Peter Gustafsson of Sweden slid way back with a 79 that included seven bogeys and a double bogey. Defending champion Marcel Siem of Germany shot a 72 and is eight shots behind Cheetham.
