NEW YORK - There is no denying that Toronto’s Orlando Franklin had a tough evening.

On a night when Denver’s entire offensive line sprung leaks, a Cliff Avril bull-rush on Franklin in the second quarter resulted in Manning’s arm being hit. The subsequent floating ball was picked off by game MVP Malcolm Smith, who returned it 69 yards for a Seattle touchdown.

One day later, Franklin and his fellow Broncos offensive linemen felt the wrath of the national media.

“Franklin and (left tackle Chris) Clark, they couldn’t compete,” ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck said on Monday.
