NEW YORK - The 10 key matchups of Super Bowl XLVIII:

10. Mother Nature vs. The Two Teams

In the end, more wind helps the run-heavy Seahawks; less breeze will aid Peyton Manning’s aerial circus. As for all this other pre-Super Bowl weather hype, give us a break. Both teams have played in the cold. Both teams play outdoors. They are not dome teams. They are not sun-belt teams like the Dolphins or Chargers. The most overrated theme of Super Bowl week.

9. Broncos Super Bowl Experience vs. Seahawks Lack of It

Peyton Manning has been to the Super Bowl dance before. So has Wes Welker. It’s a claim not one Seahawk player can make. Will it matter? How will that first-time feeling of Super Bowl butterflies churning in their guts effect Seattle players? How they handle it, whether positively or negatively, will play a key role in the outcome.
