If the New Orleans Saints never have to come back to the Pacific northwest, it will be too soon. CenturyLink Field is their Bermuda Triangle.

After winning on the road at Philadelphia last weekend, they thought they had this road playoff thing whipped but all the brave talk was simply their version of whistling past the graveyard. It’s not a jinx. The Seattle Seahawks are just too good for them.

Even on a day when the Seahawks were something less than dominant, Drew Brees and Friends were out of their league, beaten 23-15 in a game that seemed so much more one-sided than that.

Whatever the artistic value, the Seahawks are moving on to the NFC Championship Game and the Saints, on merit, are going home. Dysfunction was apparent in almost every aspect of their game on Saturday, no more so than on the game’s final play.
