Plenty of drama served for Super Bowl XLVII

This Super Bowl is turning into the best daytime TV since the invention of the soap opera.

Sex. Drugs. Voodoo & Who-do. It’s a stomach churner -- and they haven’t even flipped the coin to see who gets to kick the first homophobe yet.

Former New York Giants receiver Amani Toomer stars in the latest episode, charging that Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is hypocritical and a caricature.

And why not? In the Mardi Gras city, the masks and gloves -- or, in Dan Marino’s case his trousers -- are off.

First, there was NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who is so popular around here he has the locals thinking maybe that whole voodoo doll thing does have merit. Pass the pins, please ...

Asked where Goodell could go for a good meal in town, the president of the Super Bowl host committee suggested: “Room service.” And maybe a food taster.

Do you think Chad Johnson can still play at a high level in the NFL?
Yes, he is a talented receiver
No, he is too old to play
CFL might be a better option
