NEW ORLEANS - A reporter dressed as a hippie mountain-man ghoul. Honest.

A reporter dressed in a Lollipop Guild costume of sorts with two-foot-long pointy, glittery shoes. A reporter dressed as some kind of caped superhero.

And so many TV-reporter blonds, my blond-ar was red-lining and my neck is sore.

Welcome to Media Day at Super Bowl XLVII.

A record 5,205 credentialed reporters, photographers and technicians on Tuesday swamped the Mercedes-Benz Superdome field, converging on San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens players and coaches alike for a full hour each. The teams square off Sunday at 6 p.m. EST (CTV/CBS).

And I'm not making up the top part.
