Colts owner Jim Irsay rewards fan with $8,500 in cash
By QMI Agency

An NFL fan named Jason posted this photo of $8,500 in cash and a letter from Colts owner Jim Irsay on Phantasy Tour, a Phish band message board.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay put his money where his mouth is.

Irsay challenged his Twitter followers Sunday afternoon to correctly guess the winning team and score -- within one point for each team -- of that night's AFC title game between the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots. The winner would receive $8,500.

As pieced together by Deadspin, one fan named Jason, @mikesong on Twitter, predicted a 27-14 outcome in favour of the Ravens. The actual score was 28-13.

Monday, Jason wrote a post on a message board for the band Phish claiming to have received a direct message via Twitter from Irsay that asked for his contact information.

On Tuesday, Jason posted a photo (click here for a large version) of a package he received containing $8,500 in $100 bills and a letter of congratulations from Irsay.

Is first round pick Eric Fisher a decent choice by the Kansas City Chiefs?
  Yes.
  No.
He has to prove himself before I decide.
