Faking it isn't easy, even for 49ers' Kaepernick

Those belly-fake, option-keepers we see the NFL’s new-wave quarterbacks executing aren’t quite as easy as they might appear.

Last Saturday night in their 45-31 defeat of the Green Bay Packers, the San Francisco 49ers ran seemingly half their plays out of the pistol (or short shotgun) formation.

When quarterback Colin Kaepernick hands off either to Frank Gore or LaMichael James up the gut, that’s easy enough. But when he fakes the handoff and pulls to run, it’s not that simple.

Is first round pick Eric Fisher a decent choice by the Kansas City Chiefs?
  Yes.
  No.
He has to prove himself before I decide.
