Testy Ravens' QB Flacco fired up
Despite all his post-season success, only a Super Bowl will quiet critics
By MIKE ZEISBERGER, QMI Agency

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is 7-4 in the post-season in his career, including an NFL-tying five road victories. He is 0-2 in AFC championship games, though, and nothing less than a win Sunday and a victory in the Super Bowl will silence the Flacco-bashers. (Reuters)

FOXBOROUGH, MASS. - If Joe Flacco’s accuracy is as sharp as his tongue, the Baltimore Ravens will be in good shape on Sunday.

Whether Flacco’s bite is as bad as his bark remains to be seen but he certainly is flashing his teeth these days in preparation for Sunday’s AFC championship game between his Ravens and the New England Patriots here at Gillette Stadium.

Ask him the wrong thing — at least what he perceives as being the wrong thing — and he might very well just go snap, crackle, pop in front of your very eyes.

That was definitely the case earlier this week when it was suggested to Flacco that players elevate their games come post-season time.

“The fact that you’re playing one way in the regular season and a completely different way in the playoffs, I think that’s a bunch of crap,” Flacco said. “I think we go out there and lay it on the line every week.”

Joe seems a bit testy, doesn’t he?

Is first round pick Eric Fisher a decent choice by the Kansas City Chiefs?
  Yes.
  No.
He has to prove himself before I decide.
