DENVER - He was in the middle of the drama, but not too immersed in it to recognize that his role in it would be remembered forever.
The game wasn’t over yet, the score tied at 35-35 and an overtime period and part of another yet to go, but Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco knew that win or lose, his play was already a compelling part of pro football history.
“As soon as we scored that touchdown, you start to get a bit of that feeling,” Flacco said at the end of an epic AFC divisional playoff contest at Mile High. “It creeps into your head a little bit.”
