When Arian Foster meets Vince Wilfork it’s a heavyweight battle all the way.
In the first meeting this season on Dec. 10, Wilfork and the run defence of the New England Patriots scored a TKO, holding Foster to 46 yards on 15 carries.
Thanks to rolling up a quick lead they pretty much took Foster and the Texans ground game out of that game and that made for easy pickings in the Pats 42-14 blowout.
Wilfork is the main roadblock in New England’s run defence and how to move him or run away from him will be one of the chief challenges facing Foster and Houston.
Houston head coach Gary Kubiak was asked if playing the Pats a second time could be beneficial for establishing their run game?
“I don’t know,” Kubiak said earlier this week in Houston. “(Wilfork is) going to look the same. He’s the same player. He’s one heck of a player and he’s a load to handle. The thing about him (is) he’s so athletic.
