They slip away like ghosts into the night.

The San Francisco 49ers have begun to realize that, and nobody on the 49ers understands it better than Randy Moss and Tim Crabtree.

Crabtree still has last year’s lost opportunity fresh in his mind. Meantime, the veteran Moss has made a career of missed opportunities. He has watched time close in on him where no defenders ever could.
