HOUSTON - Well, here we go again. The Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans get to open up the NFL playoff season for the second year in a row.
If the NFL playoffs can be viewed as a multi-course meal, Saturday’s tilt in Houston serves as a thin, flavourless soup.
The Bengals vs the Texans? Really?
The other three courses on the opening weekend of playoffs are serving far juicier fare. Minnesota-Green Bay features historic Lambeau Field and the Vikings sensational Adrian Peterson; Indianapolis-Baltimore has the Andrew Luck driven Colts going against the about to retire Ray Lewis; Seattle-Washington, the most anticipated game of them all, features two dynamic rookie quarterbacks in the Seahawks’ Russell Wilson and Robert Griffin III of the Redskins.
The national buzz surrounding Cincinnati-Houston is little to none.
