After years of many teams going with committees in their backfields, it seems that more and more true feature backs are cropping up. Five backs had more than 300 carries last season, compared to just two the year before.
1. Adrian Peterson, MIN
2097 rush yards, 13 TDs, 307 points.
The undisputed No. 1 back should also be the top pick in your fantasy draft.
2. Doug Martin, TB
1454 rush yards, 12 TDs, 262 points.
The Buccaneers rookie burst on to the scene last year thanks to one of the biggest performances in fantasy history. Doug Martin’s 251-yard, four-touchdown game against the Raiders gave him a total of 51.2 points, the third highest total ever.
That contributed to his 262.6 total points, which made him the second-highest scoring back in fantasy, edging Arian Foster by 0.5 points.
