The Buffalo Bills defence confused Drew Brees at times early on. Roughed him up a bit. And made him work.

But that still didn’t work.

The veteran quarterback wound up having one of the best statistical games of his storied NFL career on Sunday. Brees completed all but eight of his 34 passes for five touchdowns and no picks, as his New Orleans Saints defeated the visiting Bills 35-17.

After the Bills took a 10-7 lead in the second quarter, Brees was sensationally sharp: going 19-of-25 for 284 yards and four more TDs.
