They are 3-0 and on Sunday took another major step forward with a 27-23 victory over the once-mighty Atlanta Falcons.
Once mighty but no more as, with the loss the Falcons, are 1-2 and banged-up in so many departments.
The Dolphins, meanwhile are cruising. They opened the season by downing the Cleveland Browns and that was no big deal. A week ago they took down the Indianapolis on the road, their second road win of the season and that opened a lot of eyes.
They may have saved their best for their home opener when trailing 23-20, quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed a one-yard TD toss to rookie Dion Sims with 38 seconds left on the clock. The winning TD capped a 13-play, 75-yard drive.
Cue the pandemonium.
The Dolphins, who trailed for much of the game, moved to 3-0 for the first time since 2002.
