AFC'S IMPACT DEFENDERS

1. J.J. Watt, DE, Texans: Still NFL's best defender. And he's fuelled by rage over how badly his team sucked last year. Duck.

2. Darrelle Revis, CB, Patriots: Back in the AFC East, with a coach who knows exactly how best to utilize him.

3. Robert Mathis, OLB, Colts: He's 33, but better than ever, leading the NFL last year in sacks (19.5) and forced fumbles (8).

4. Geno Atkins, DT, Bengals: Injured for much of '13, he's still the NFL's best pass-rushing DT. Has 29 sacks since 2010.

5. Von Miller, OLB, Broncos: After forgettable 2013 (suspensions, torn ACL), apparently healthy and still showing incredible burst.
