Simply put, running back may not be the most important position in actual football anymore, but it still is in fantasy.

In the real NFL, you can find a potential star RB as a late-round pick or even as an undrafted free agent.

The only way that you’ll be finding that type of return in fantasy is if you nail an uber-sleeper or luck out with a waiver-wire gem.

I'm not saying it won't happen, but the odds aren't in your favour.

Using a committee approach to the running game has also taken a bite out the position’s fantasy value though.

Last year, the number of 1,000-yard rushers numbered only 13, which is half the amount that there were in 2006.
