Brent Urban is so humble, so stereotypically Canadian, it was only a few weeks ago that he finally spilled his little secret to best friends back home in Mississauga.
The secret being that he might be the first Canadian selected in this week's NFL draft.
The University of Virginia graduate has known, and his parents (Ann and Vic Urban) have known. But not many others in Canada.
Urban -- who turned 23 on Monday -- calls it being "under the radar." But it's far lower than that. More like subterranean. He's OK with that.
"I'm kind of a laid-back guy. I don't really like to brag about myself," the 6-foot-7, 295-pounder said in a telephone interview from Charlottesville, Va. "It was definitely a low-key thing with me.
"For the most part, my friends now know what's going on. Disbelief is the best word to describe their reactions, I guess. I'm so far away from home, and they didn't get a chance up there to see many of my (Virginia) games on TV. It's hard to pu
