The Cleveland Browns signed quarterbacks Vince Young and Tyler Thigpen to one-year contracts, according to reports Thursday.
Both recently went through tryouts with the Browns.
Young, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 draft, has not played in the NFL since 2011. He spent the past two offseasons working out for the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers, but was unable to land a deal.
A two-time Pro Bowler with the Tennessee Titans in 2006 and '09, Young last played with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 as a backup to Michael Vick.
Young made 50 starts from 2006-11. He has 8,964 career yards, 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions, and is 31-19 as a starter.
Thigpen played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills. He has played 29 games over six seasons, passing for 3,222 yards with 21 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
The Browns' other options at quarterback are Brian Hoyer and Alex Tanney. Hoyer, however, is still recovering from a torn ACL.
