INDIANAPOLIS -- Just who is Johnny Manziel, anyway? And what kind of person is he, really?

Is he a party-loving prima donna? An unfairly criticized, team-first, playmaking passer of the highest grade? Or something in between?

Everybody here this week at the scouting combine -- reporters and especially NFL teams -- is dying to slot him accurately, once and for all. But it’s not easy.

“Johnny Football” got his public chance on Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium to hammer out some of the dents to his reputation, when he answered questions from dozens of NFL beat writers.

His truest test will come in all those 15-minute interview sessions with teams, through Sunday.

“Now it’s a chance for them to sit and know me personally, ask whatever questions they want,” Manziel said. “I’m not shying away from anything they do have to ask me … Whatever it may be, I’m more than open to answering anything that they have to throw out at me.”
