Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is hooking up with Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports to represent him, according to a report.
It is unclear whether Roc Nation will help Suh with his next contract or assist him with marketing, ESPN reported Tuesday. Suh left his previous agent, Relativity Sports, in January.
Suh is entering the final year of his rookie contract with the Lions in 2014. His base salary for next season is $12.55 million and it will count $22.4 million against the Lions' cap. The Lions indicated that they hope to sign Suh to a long-term deal despite recent reports that teammates consider him a problem in the locker room.
Last season, Suh logged 49 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks in 16 games. Since coming into the NFL in 2010, Suh has 186 tackles and 27 1/2 sacks.
Suh would be the latest to join Jay Z's growing list of professional sports clients. He already is working with New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Seattle Mariners infielder Robinson Cano and New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia.
