Davone Bess is probably regretting a recent post to social media.
The Cleveland Browns wide receiver tweeted a photo early Thursday that shows what appears to be marijuana. The photo (above) includes the phrase "We da real dons!"
Posted on his 31,000-follower Twitter account (@davonebess), the tweet has since been deleted.
The Browns are investigating the matter.
"The team is aware of the photos and looking further into the situation and will deal with the matter internally," the club said in a statement.
This is not the first time Bess, 28, has posted a pot-related photo to one of his social media accounts.
In December, Bess posted an Instagram photo showing him on an outdoor deck lighting what seems to be a joint.
The NFL confirmed Thursday it was aware of the latest image.
Bess, who has 13 touchdowns in six NFL seasons, was permitted to return home to Oakland, Calif., for the final two weeks of the regular season with what the Browns described as a "serious family matter."
