The NFL is allowing Peyton Manning to keep his season passing yardage record, which he set Sunday.

And good on the league for doing so.

There had been rancorous discussion all day Tuesday over whether the league should take away Manning’s record.

Why? Because of the practice whereby the league empowers the numbers nerds over at Elias Sports Bureau to pore over game tape and make post-factum statistical adjustments and corrections.
