Peyton's a go. Percy's back. Ponder's iffy. Peanut's on IR. Cutler's out this week. And Locker's done for the year.

After the usual morning-after battery of MRIs and X-rays, those were the most newsworthy doctors' diagnoses on Monday in the NFL.

The deets:

* PEYTON: An MRI on Peyton Manning's reinjured right ankle proved negative, so the Denver Broncos quarterback will indeed start Sunday night in the biggest-showdown-in-the-alltime-history-of-ever against undefeated Kansas City. Manning hobbled off the field Sunday in San Diego after a hit by a low-charging Charger. Broncos interim head coach Jack Del Rio confirmed earlier reports that Manning will start, and will practise to an undetermined extent this week. Del Rio said the Broncos turned in a tape of the hit in question to the league's head office. "(We) thought it was questionable," he said.
