When it comes to Thursday night NFL games, some owners reportedly think it’s so nice, they should do it twice.

According to a piece in the Sports Business Daily, Cowboys head honcho Jerry Jones confirmed that the NFL is looking into implementing Thursday night double headers.

Should that ever happen, you can count on 49ers wideout Anquan Boldin not being thrilled. He isn’t thrilled with the concept of one game on Thursdays, so it stands to reason he’d be really peeved at two.

“If (the NFL is) so concerned about player safety, then why do you have every team in the league playing on Thursday night when they just competed on a Sunday, knowing how difficult it is for guys to get back to being healthy after playing on Sunday?” Boldin asked.

The answer is easy. Money. Case closed.

Maybe the franchise once known as The Dirty Birds should now be called The Dead Ducks.
