It’s official: Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is still in the record book.

But it’s not a mark the volatile Lions defensive stud will covet.

According to nfl.com, the always newsworthy Suh has lost his appeal for the $100.000 US fine he received for his hit on Viking centre John Sullivan in Week 1.

The six-figure fine was the largest financial punishment ever slapped on a player, aside from monies lost by players due to suspension.

Suh’s career punishment total: Six fines, two games via suspension, $342,790 US lost.

And counting ...

At least Suh had the class to apologize to both Sullivan and his own Lions teammates.

Now the goal for Suh is to stop crossing the line any more and play nice.

Can he do it? Stay tuned.
