Former NFL player Deion Sanders was hospitalized on Sunday after suffering severe stomach pains.

The ex-Dallas Cowboys star was left needing help from two firefighters after falling ill in Los Angeles.

He was taken to hospital, where he is currently being checked by doctors for kidney stones and other issues, according to TMZ.com.

Taking to Twitter.com to thank his helpers, Sanders uploaded a picture of him with two firefighters, writing, "Thank u Rod Jackson and Roger Morris from LAFD for taking care of Prime. TRUTH."
