Last week wasn’t a great one for top running backs, with a few exceptions, of course. Between injuries and just plain awful performances, a lot of fantasy owners were surely disappointed by the scores from their top draft picks. Here’s a roundup of the misery.

In Oakland, the oft-injured Darren McFadden has missed practice this week with a hamstring injury, but reportedly could still play Sunday night. If he’s out, Rashad Jennings gets the call against a ripe Chargers defence. With Terrelle Pryor back and starting, he can also handle a share of rushing duties.

Alfred Morris, who is on a bye this week, was forced out of last week’s tilt with the Raiders with a rib injury. X-rays revealed no break, but monitor his status leading up to next week’s rivalry game in Dallas.

Before Thursday night’s game, C.J. Spiller had been injured two weeks in a row. Then, against the Browns, he had just eight touches compared to Fred Jackson’s 21. It’s obvious he’s playing through the pain, but at least he was able to break a big run for a TD. Hopefully he’ll be close to 100% next week after having 10 days off.
