In a game featuring two defences that are worth the price of admission themselves, the difference in a very entertaining Seattle Seahawks vs. Houston Texans game came down to the two quarterbacks.

The Seahawks remain unbeaten today because of that following a 23-20 OT win over the Texans.

In Russell Wilson the Seahawks have a Houdini-like gamer, a guy who seems to find a way to get the job done when all seems lost.

In Matt Schaub the Texans have a quarterback who can manage a football game in the right circumstances.

For the first half Schaub did just that. Given time and the proper protection he oversaw two long touchdown drives — one of 80 yards and one of 90 to put the host Texans in control with a 17-point lead after a half of play.

Wilson, meanwhile, was in the fight of his life — and at times it really did feel like surviving the afternoon was a 50-50 proposition for the Seahawks quarterback.
