Arizona Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson somehow lost a chunk of his finger during his team's 31-7 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday and he's in no mood to show you pics.

According to online reports Johnson made the gruesome discovery after removing his left glove and finding part of his finger severed right to the bone.

Johnson's finger became unattached during a tackle on Saints running back Darren Sproles on a punt return.

Johnson is now recovering from surgery, according to the report, to reattach the tip of his left middle finger (the initial report had it as the right finger).

Responding this morning to a Twitter request to see the injured finger, Johnson declined saying you probably don't even want to see the damage:

But then, hours later, he tweeted a gruesome photo. It's not pretty.

#thefinger Blessed to be able to still go out and do what I love this season. #thankful #trulyblessed #birdgang pic.twitter.com/Z9WYq5TUz1
