There's a good chance that you were disappointed by your top-ranked running back this week. Only a few first- and second-round backs lived up to their projections while some bombed completely.

The most troubling situation is in New York, where the Giants are in quite the predicament. Starter David Wilson was benched after losing two fumbles against the Cowboys and finished with just 19 yards on seven carries for a total of minus-2.1 fantasy points.

During the week, the Giants signed Brandon Jacobs. The bruising back weighed in at around 265 pounds and is still a week or two away from being in game shape, but expect him to be used in goal-line situations until Andre Brown returns from the IR.

Wilson will remain the starter, but has to show better ball-handling in practice and games to keep the role. If not, Da’Rel Scott will see more and more carries.
