While a lot of focus will be on the Manning brothers on Sunday, there’s at least one other intriguing quarterback matchup that should be worth a look.
Ryan Tannehill will be taking his Miami Dolphins into Indianapolis to face Andrew Luck and the Colts, looking to make amends for a loss in their first meeting a year ago. Tannehill and Luck are part of a mutual admiration society of young QBs who were drafted in 2012 and have made immediate and significant impact on their teams. Others in that special lodge are Robert Griffin III, Seattle’s Russell Wilson and Cleveland’s Brandon Weeden.
Tannehill and Luck squared off in Indianapolis last November and Luck got the better of the day with a 23-20 win, completing 30 of 48 passes for 433 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Tannehill came off second best but still completed 22 of 38 passes for 290 yards with a touchdown and no picks.
