Jim Brown may be slightly stooped and walks with a limp.

At age 77, though, the greatest running back in NFL history is still running against the wind.

Brown was in town Thursday as part of a NFL Canada promotion and the legendary NFL Hall of Famer is back in the Cleveland Browns fold.

Fired from his position with the Browns in 2010 by team president Mike Holmgren, Brown has returned as special advisor thanks to the outreach of new owner Jimmy Haslam.

It is a position that Brown takes seriously.

In his lifetime Brown has had three careers — great running back at Syracuse University and then the NFL with the Browns; Hollywood actor and social activist.

The latter is what has consumed his passion for decades and one of the founders of the Amer-I-Can program for African-American youth remains a blunt talker.

Age has not mellowed him. Brown pulls no punches.
