Week 4 of the NFL pre-season is supposed to be meaningless, right? Well that’s not the case if you’re a New York Giants fan.

Unlike most teams, who won’t even suit up many of their key players, the Giants went ahead and played some of their’s on Thursday night against New England, including quarterback Eli Manning.

Well, it didn’t turn out so well for backup running back Andre Brown. New York’s prospective goalline back and handcuff for David Wilson broke his leg during the meaningless dress rehearsal.

The break has been described as a “little crack,” but it means that he’ll be out for at least 4-6 weeks and probably longer.

Brown had some strong fantasy buzz thanks to his ability to punch the ball in from close. In the eight games he had carries in last season, he scored eight TDs and even had a 24-point performance against the Panthers with Wilson on the sidelines.
