A gun used in a murder that Aaron Hernandez is under investigation for has been recovered.

Hernandez, in prison facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, is also allegedly linked to another case -- a 2012 double-murder in Boston.

The seized weapon, used in the killing of Safiro Furtado and Daniel Abreu last year, was found inside a car June 21 in Springfield, Conn., according to CBS.

The gun, a .38-calibre Smith and Wesson revolver, was stashed in a black briefcase in the trunk of a car owned Jailene Diaz-Ramos.

Diaz-Ramos, who is from Hernandez's hometown of Bristol, Conn., was arraigned in court for illegal possession of a gun and ammunition. She has since been released on a $1,000 bail

A .45-calibre handgun is said to be the weapon that killed Lloyd. It is still missing.
