ALLEN PARK, MICH. - Ndamukong Suh used to earn headlines for his big plays as a disruptive force on the interior defensive line of the Detroit Lions.

That was three years ago already, when he registered 10 sacks, an unheard of total by a rookie NFL defensive tackle. He wants to earn such headlines again.

For the past two years Suh has earned more infamy than fame.

There was the groin-stomping incident against the Packers in 2011, and the groin-kick incident against the Texans last year. He was fined and suspended for the former, and only fined for the latter. Suh denied intentionally kicking Matt Schaub last year but NFL commissioner Roger Goodell thought otherwise and fined Suh $30,000.

Last year, Suh quietly racked up eight sacks.

Suh and his Lions teammates opened training camp for the 2013 season on Friday at the Lions headquarters and training facility.
