Von Miller is facing a four-game suspension for violating NFL drug policy.

He is appealing.

That’s fact. The rest of the story is vague at best; a ball of confusion at its worst, bouncing in different directions from accusation to denials to retribution, to downright absurdity.

Welcome to the latest act in the three-ring circus that is sports and drugs.

Exactly what policy has been violated hasn’t been divulged. Neither has a time frame.

The Denver Post reports that Miller tested positive for amphetamines and marijuana.

When? It could be 2011. But the NFL isn’t saying. In fact, they haven’t even announced the suspension which means whoever blabbed that it is imminent could face a $10,000 fine. They could find out. But that would involve investigating the investigation — which sounds like something out of a Monty Python skit.

So, maybe they shouldn’t do the “silly walk” to go there.
