Just when you thought Donte Stallworth’s legal issues were behind him, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) “rolled up” on the embattled NFL wide receiver this weekend.

The 32-year-old took to Twitter with claims he was accosted by CIA officials while snapping a photo outside the agency’s headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

“I came eerily close to being sent to Guantanamo Bay,” Stallworth said.

“Y'all think I'm joking? They rolled right up on me and I hadn't been there for more than 2 minutes, tops.”

Stallworth, who had a brief comeback stint with the New England Patriots last season, said U.S. officials questioned him about the photos and his intentions outside the complex.

“I started to understand s--- was about to get real,” Stallworth said.

“That's when I told buddy, 'I live not far from here, I play for the (Washington) Redskins (yes, I pulled that card).'”

Only he doesn’t. The 2002 first-round draft pick is currently a free agent.

“He looks at me and asks, ‘Stallworth?’ In which I replied, "ummm, depends who's asking?"

In 2009, Stallworth plead guilty to DUI manslaughter charges after killing a pedestrian while driving under the influence.

Stallworth, who started his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints, spent 30 days in jail and two years under house arrest in addition to the community service he was ordered to provide.

Prior to his latest run-in with a government agency on the weekend, Stallworth was badly burned when a hot air balloon he was riding in crashed into power lines in March.

“Before we parted ways,” Stallworth said of his run-in with the CIA, “he did inform me that, ‘They don't like people taking pictures around here.

'I thought to myself, who is they?

“No harm. No foul,” Stallworth said.

Currently looking to latch on with an NFL team, Stallworth has accumulated 321 catches for 4,837 yards and 35 touchdowns in 115 NFL games during his career .

Following New Orleans, he completed brief stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Washington Redskins.
