Before Friday, the Top 3 quarterbacks rewarded with the most guaranteed money in NFL history were Tom Brady ($57 million), Drew Brees ($55 million) and Joe Flacco ($52 million).

Flacco spent only 25 days on the list. Tony Romo bumped him on Friday.

Yes, the same Tony Romo who has won all of one playoff game in seven years as starter with the Dallas Cowboys —compared to Flacco’s nine playoff wins in five years, which of course includes one Super Bowl title.

Yet Dallas rewarded Romo’s — um — success by extending his contract by six years, through 2019, and giving him another $108 million. With $55 million of it guaranteed.

That’s $3 million more guaranteed than the Baltimore Ravens gave Flacco, the Super Bowl MVP.

Whether you’re a Cowboys fan or not, I think I know what you’re thinking:

What in the hell was Jerry Jones thinking?!
