The New England Patriots signed cornerback Aqib Talib to a one-year deal while releasing wide receiver Brandon Lloyd.

Talib's deal, reportedly worth $5 million, comes after he initially turned down a three-year offers so he can test the free agent waters again next year.

Talib had 19 tackles and one interception for a touchdown in six games with the Patriots after being acquired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season.

Meanwhile, Lloyd could return to the team with a lesser salary. He was due a $3 million bonus before getting cut.

Lloyd started 15 of 16 games and had 74 catches for 911 yards with four touchdowns last season.

Is first round pick Eric Fisher a decent choice by the Kansas City Chiefs?
