That’s what the Boston Globe printed Tuesday after video surfaced of New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski partying shirtless in a Las Vegas nightclub, his broken left forearm in tow.
And, as the Globe pointed out this week, it’s not exactly the first time the 23-year-old, NFL record-holder has taken heat for off-field activities.
In 2011, Gronkowski earned a slap on the wrist for cozying up with former adult film star Britney Maclin in a series of tweeted photos that featured the scantily clad Maclin hugging the all-pro tight end.
Less than six months later, in February 2012, Gronkowski took more criticism for partying hard – and shirtless – just hours after losing Super Bowl XLVI to the New York Giants.
Then, after reassuring fans of his innocent intentions, more photos surfaced of Gronkowski and a topless Maclin in September.
"I didn't intend anything to hurt the reputation of anyone on the New England Patriots or on behalf of Robert Kraft,” he said following the previous snafu. “It was just a simple picture.”
His latest, though, has football implications.
Video obtained by TMZ shows Gronkowski, who signed a six-year, $54 million extension with the Pats last summer, body-slamming a friend and landing hard on his injured arm – something Pats fans, and head coach Bill Belichick, won’t take kindly to.
