Marc Trestman could be da answer for da Bears
By BILL LANKHOF, QMI Agency
The Chicago Bears didn’t need just any ordinary head coach.
They needed an offensive architect; someone who could resurrect an offence that ranked 28th in the NFL.
They needed someone who could get inside Jay Cutler’s head; a quarterback whisperer.
They needed someone whose offensive game plan consists of more than a hand-off to Matt Forte, a pass to Brandon Marshall ... and, a prayer.
So, Wednesday, the Bears did something unconventional. After interviewing 13 candidates, including some of the brightest minds in the NFL, the Bears announced they were hiring Marc Trestman, lately of the Canadian Football League.
