SAN FRANCISCO - The paranoia over RG3-Gate that engulfed the National Football League earlier this week has now flowed from Washington all the way across the country to San Francisco.

Less than 24 hours after the uber-talented Robert Griffin III underwent surgery to repair his badly damaged knee, questions arose about the state of 49ers defensive lineman Justin Smith, who will attempt to play against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday despite having a partially torn left triceps tendon.
