Texas-bred RG3 has no love for America's Team

Less than a three-hour drive to the south of the bright lights and bustling streets of Dallas is the community of Copperas Cove, a Texas military town located smack dab in the heart of Cowboys Country.

When Robert Griffin III and his family moved there when he was just seven, they found a picturesque place that ate, slept and breathed everything and anything that had to do with America’s Team.

There, almost everyone drank the blue-and-silver Kool-Aid that is the Dallas Cowboys.

ALMOST everyone.

But not RG3.

No matter how much his Cowboy-crazed chums chided him, no matter how rich the legacy of a franchise that had featured the likes of Tom Landry, Rodger Staubach, Troy Aikman and Randy White, a young Griffin III simply was not buying the propaganda Jerry Jones was selling.
